What do you expect when two musically-inclined people tie the knot?  A wedding full of songs, of course!

That’s what will happen next month, when Karylle and Spongecola vocalist Yael Yuzon swap I do’s in an en grande wedding that will see the bride’s  parents (Zsa Zsa Padilla and Dr. Modesto Tatlonghari)  walking down the aisle to turn their eldest daughter over to her groom.

Karylle told “Philippine Star” entertainment editor Ricky Lo that the wedding will be a “very musical affair,” with Yael’s song, “Singapore Sling” as peg.

The future groom told “Star” that the chorus talks about a never-ending process of getting to know someone. He recalls how he’d visit Karylle in Singapore every three or four weeks while she was doing “Kitchen Musical” in 2011.

“Kiss You”

The happy bride-to-be, on the other hand, said in the same interview that the song “Kiss You”  (which she wrote with Francis ‘Kix” Salazar) makes her think of Yael.

The pamamanhikan  the couple recalls,  happened in Karylle's home. Karylle's parents, her cousin  Iza Calzado, and the future groom’s family were there. Yael reveals that he popped the question last year, while they were in his car and he was behind the wheel.

The singer-actress also told “Star” that  she knew it was coming and was not surprised when Yael actually proposed.

Blooming

Karylle knew she had to say yes because Yael makes her happy, and it showed. People noticed that she was blooming.  Yael finally banished her bouts of sadness and put the glow back on her face, the spring to her step.

The singer-TV host  announced her upcoming weding in the February 8 edition of her noontime show  "It's Showtime"  on Saturday, February 8.

Karylle and Yael may be public figures.  But like Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo back then, they want a very private wedding and are not revealing its details.  But one thing’s sure. They’re off to a good start.
