Kapuso actress Marian Rivera wants to add the job description 'chef' to her resume.  That's why she's taking certificate courses on Essential Baking and Pastry Arts and Essential Cooking Series at the Heny Sison Culinary School.

“Dati ko pa siyang gustong mangyari, eh yung soap ko pausog-usog. So sabi ko, iti-take ko na yung pagkakataon na wala akong soap, kaya nag Heny Sison ako. 4 times a week, so para talagang nag-school ako,” Marian said at the press launch of her latest endorsement, Belo Nutraceuticals Collagen Powder Drink on Wednesday, February 18.

Right time

Asked if it's her husband, Dingdong Dantes who encouraged her to take cooking classes, Marian shared that she decided on her own because she has always dreamed of becoming a chef.

Many of her Instagram followers know Marian loves to cook because she always posts photos of the dishes she made.

“Dream ko talaga iyan. Matagal kong hindi nagawa so ito yung right time para gawin iyon.”

Marian is not sure yet if she wants to open a restaurant soon.

Happy wife

“Ang hirap kasi magsalita.  Pero maganda kasi na ginagawa mo ang isang bagay kasi passion mo siya. Gusto ko talagang magluto. Gusto ko yung knowledge ko mas lumawak pa.”

Dingdong and Marian are enjoying life as newlyweds. They went to Palawan last Valentine’s Day.

Marian said she did not make big adjustments as Mrs. Dantes.

“Siguro adjustments lang sa mga desisyon kailangan ng compromise. At dapat alam ng partner mo yung mga desisyon mo. Pero so far, mas masarap ang buhay may asawa.”

Told that many have noticed how much more beautiful she has become, Marian said, “Keyword is masaya talaga ako sa anong buhay yung pinasok ko.”
