Remember Jennifer Lee, the Viva Hot Babe who made men stop and take a second look when they see her off and on screen?

Jennifer still makes men – and women – stop and look again, not so much for her sexy outfits, but for the music she spins in clubs and events.

Jennifer has bid her acting days good-bye to focus on her other love, music – make that spinning music as a DJ.

Being herself

“Enjoy ako sa crowd. Feel ko yung energy nila. Kahit naka rubber shoes lang ako, okay lang. That’s what’s nice about being a DJ. You can be yourself. People are there for the music,” Jennifer told the press in an interview at Moonshine Bar, a cozy place in Makati which she put up with friends.

DJing is an extension of the 29-year-old looker’s burning passion for music, which she had even as a child. Jennifer took piano lessons at five and was part of an all-girl band in high school. She also plays the guitar, drums and bass.

And because she loves music so much, she invested in costly sound equipment to help her mix and spin the hottest sounds for a variety of audiences.

Passing on her skills

The  basic equipment alone, she says, costs P100,000.

But Jennifer has no regrets. Her nightly gigs have compensated for the money she plunked in for her craft.

She even teaches other Viva Hot Babes the basics of being a DJ.

EDM, jazz, pop, Christmas music

"I can mix EDM (electronic dance music), jazz, pop, R&B, etc. I can even mix Christmas music for events,” she says.

Those who want to see just how she does it can watch DJ Jennifer’s show with international DJ Juicy M and top Philippine DJs Ace Ramos and Deuce Manila on Thursday, November 13 at the Solaire Resort and Casino Grand Ballroom.

Jennifer will also show her DJ skills at the Electro Circuit The Neon Party DJ Music Festival on Friday, December 5 in Tagbilaran City and on Saturday, December 6 at the Nuvali Dance Party.

She knows what she's doing

Jennifer knows all eyes will be on her, but she’s not afraid.

“That’s okay if you know what you’re doing.”

The one-time Mutya ng Laguna knows what she’s doing. In fact, it’s what she always wanted to do, even way back before showbiz came her way.
