Live music just got fresher at The Fort Strip

Hopping!

That’s the scene at the unassumingly nicknamed Fort Strip at Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.

It’s not enough that there’s dancing, an eat-all-you-can Korean place, karaoke and billiards if you want it, and more drinking places than you can clink your mugs to.

There’s always something else and one more thing happening at the Strip.

Old venue for some new live music

And the latest happens to be the Radio Republic sessions at Aracama Restaurant and Lounge.

In addition to the regional Filipino cuisine the restaurant is known for, Pinoy music site and Yahoo content partner Radio Republic is helming live music nights at Aracama starting Monday, March 2.

With themes or music genres being the centerpiece of each night, the Radio Republic sessions will showcase the best independent musicians playing today.

Daily themes

Mondays are devoted to soul, Tuesdays to grooves like reggae and island riddims, Wednesdays to nu melodies, and Thursdays to rock.

Live music begins at 9 p.m., when Aracama turns off their house lights and turns over their stage to Pinoy acts who are set to play longer sets to really showcase their talent.

From March 2 to 5, acts featured are:

March 2, Monday Soul: Chocolate Grass and the Chillitees

March 3, Tuesday Grooves: Lady-I and Collie Herb

March 4, Wednesday Melodies: Autotelic and Fools and Foes

March 5, Thursday Rock: Peso Movement and Mayonnaise

Ask too the Aracama bartender for the night’s specialty, based on the music theme and the participating bands.
