Marian Rivera happy for Karylle

Marian Rivera: Lahat ng babae gustong makasal

Marian Rivera won’t do a Karylle anytime soon.  But she’s happy for the Kapamilya singer-actress, who tied the knot with Spongecola vocalist Yael Yuzon last March 21.

“Masaya ako para sa kanya.  For sure, lahat ng babae gustong ikasal at maging partner ng panghabang buhay ang mag-aalaga sa kanya at magmamahal sa kanila,” the Kapuso actress said at the presscon Diamond Laboratories called to announce  its choice of Marian as the newest endorser of  Biofitea.

But Marian is not the type who will get married herself just because a fellow actress almost her age did so.

“Dapat ikaw msmo sa puso mo, handa.  Ang nangyayari sa puso ko, masaya ako sa buhay ko. Sabi nga namin ni Dong (her boyfriend, Dingdong Dantes, Karylle’s ex) pag tinatanong kami tungkol diyan,  not so near, not so far. Read between the lines na lang.”

Not scared of old age

When she does settle down, Marian doesn’t mind gaining a lot of weight due to pregnancy and having stretch marks due to childbirth.  She, with the 34-19-34 figure is not scared of losing that body which men and women admire, and which FHM immortalized in two of its covers.

“Gagawin ko yon para sa asawa at sa anak ko.  Buo na ang pagkatao ko kapag nangyari yon.”

Neither is Marian scared of fading looks that come with age.

“Hindi ako takot tumanda. Ibig sabihin napagdaanan mo na (ang mga bagay bagay). Mature ka na at marami ka ng naranasan sa buhay.”

The actress who entered showbiz just to be able to save and prove to loved ones that she can earn on her own and buy  things she wants out of her own money,  never expected her name will be as big as it is now.

Blessings galore

So she can’t be grateful enough for her Biofitea endorsement, her drama series “Carmela,” her awards, an upcoming Regal film and other commercials. Marian explains that she has no time for intrigues and negative issues because she’s on top of the world with all the blessings landing on her lap.

“Wala akong panahon na makipagtalo at makipag-away. Masaya ako sa buhay ko.”

She shares that happiness with Dingdong, whom Marian is so proud of, now that he has finally finished college.

Marian knows  his college graduation is an inspiration to others who want to earn a diploma, no matter what age they’re in.

Graduation gift

“Happy ako naging role model si Dong sa  mga kabataan. Nagpapasalamat ako na kahit busy siya, binigyan siya ng pagkakataong once a  week pumunta sa  Bacolod para sa exams niya at para ma-meet ang teachers niya.  Katuparan na ito ng pangarap nya at alam kong mangiyak ngiyak siya habang papunta sa stage. Pinipigilan lang niya ang sarili niya.”

Although her presence in Dingdong’s graduation is a sign that members of his family are treating Marian like their own,  she herself refuses to jump into conclusions.

All Marian knows is that he asked her to clear her schedule for his graduation day and she did it.

“Love ang graduation gift ko sa kanya.  Kaya ako bumabata.”

The twinkle in her eyes shows Marian means every word she says.
