No abs? Daniel Padilla doesn't mind

Daniel Padilla and onscreen partner Kathryn Bernardo are not bothered when many people say he has gained weight.

“Hindi ako tumaba guys, ano lang, lumaki. Actually, pinapataba nila ako kaso nga sumobra ako,” Daniel joked at the press conference of their latest movie “Crazy Beautiful You” on Thursday, February 12.

Better-looking

Daniel thinks he looks better these days.

“Mas okay na iyon na ganito kaysa naman na mukha akong butiki noon.”

Unlike many young male stars, Daniel is in no hurry to flaunt his abs because the 20-year-old Kapamilya heartthrob feels he’s still too young for that.

“Ayaw ko pa, relax lang muna. Hindi naman kailangang magmadali sa mga ganyan. Tsaka bata pa ako, hindi ko pa kailangan ng ganoon.”

Kathryn’s approval

Kathryn approves of Daniel’s look and thinks her rumored boyfriend’s added weight becomes hiim.

“Mas gusto ko na ito kasi nga pinapataba siya dati. Tapos ngayon, parang na-eenjoy niya na ganoon kadami ang kinakain niya, na pinapa-stop na namin siya. Siya yung nagtatago pa para kumain. Pero mas bagay naman talaga.”

The Kapamilya actress thinks Daniel ‘s way of carrying himself makes him sexy.

“Hindi naman kailangan na kapag sinabi mong sexy, may six-pack, may abs. Nasa pagdadala ng tao iyon. Nadadala naman niya iyon. Tsaka hindi ko din siya ma-imagine na ganoon, parang mas cute siya na ganyan.”

V-Day gifts

Daniel and Kathryn said they might not be able to go out on a date come Valentine’s Day but they will be together to dub their movie.

They also plan to exchange gifts.

“Mahirap mag-dubbing. So baka after na lang siguro ng assignments namin for this movie,” Kathryn said.

“Crazy Beautiful You,” which opens in cinemas nationwide on Wednesday, February 25, also stars Lorna Tolentino, Gabby Concepcion and Inigo Pascual.
