Oscars selfie has Pinoy version at Star Awards
Somewhere in Hollywood, Oscar might be quietly smiling as the rest of the world rave about the awards show selfie that crashed and broke Twitter on March 2 (Los Angeles time).
A week after TV host Ellen DeGeneres masterminded the legendary act, local celebrities are cramming to catch up. And it was Ai Ai delas Alas who was bold enough to initiate the attempt at a Star Awards selfie on Sunday night (March 9).

The 49-year-old Dekada Awardee opened her acceptance speech by snapping a selfie with her trophy—arguing that it’s going to take another ten years to possibly get another Dekada award, anyway.
The next level
Taking things to the next level, awards show host Maja Salvador connived with her co-host, Robi Domingo, to take the ultimate selfie to remember.
And just like Hollywood actors, Dekada Awardees Baron Geisler, John Lloyd Cruz, Aga Muhlach, Dennis Trillo and Piolo Pascual were game enough to join the fun.
How does this selfie look beside that of Ellen with Meryl Streep, Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper, as well as Kevin Spacey, Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and new Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o crowding into the picture?
Now, if only Robi Domingo’s arm was longer.
