Rachelle Ann Go was voted Best Featured Actress in a New Production of a Musical at the 2014 BroadwayWorld UK / West End Awards.

This was announced on Nov. 28 by the website broadwayworld.com, creators of the award.

Go, who plays the bargirl Gigi in the current production of “Miss Saigon” in London, was honored along with two other Filipino cast members.

Other Pinoys honored

Jon Jon Briones, who plays the Engineer, picked up the award for Best Leading Actor, while Eva Noblezada won as Best Leading Actress in a New Production of a Musical.

Briones is a theater veteran who was part of the ensemble in the original West End production of the musical starring Lea Salonga. He eventually alternated with Leo Valdez as The Engineer in later stagings.

Noblezada, whose dad was born in Guam to Filipino parents, won the title role when she was 17.

In all, “Miss Saigon” swept the awards, picking up 9 wins out of 19 categories, including Best Musical Direction, Best Featured Actor (Korean Kwang-Ho Hong as Thuy), Best Choreography and Best Costume Design.

The winners were chosen by online voting.

Go acknowldged her win on Twitter and retweeted well wishers.
