Tired of dancing stewardesses? Try dancing Immigration personnel

On Independence Day, the Bureau of Immigration uploaded a video showing their personnel staging a flash mob at NAIA Terminal 2.

Amidst surprised travelers, uniformed men and women of the Immigration bureau showed off their moves as they danced to Pharell’s “Happy.”

Seen in the video dancing along with Immigration personnel were comedian Ai Ai de las Alas and TV personality Grace Lee.

They care

The flash mob is “part of the customer intimacy project of the Bureau consistent with its rebranding initiatives,” said the Bureau on its YouTube channel.

That initiative is called “BI-CARES,” an acronym that stands for Bureau of Immigration for “courtesy, accountability, responsibility, efficiency and service.”

The program hopes to “ensure the deployment of a friendlier, more customer-oriented troop of immigration officers who will create a more enviable environment for travelers….”

‘Artistic interpretation’

The flash mob is the bureau’s way of offering an “artistic interpretation” of their new program.

It also verbalizes BI’s plan of action encapsulated in the catchphrase “Good Guys In, Bad Guys Out.”

Plus, the airport flash mob shows that yep, it is more fun in the Philippines.
