Catherine Zeta-Jones is showing she hasn't given up on her marriage.
The actress, who announced her separation from husband Michael Douglas in August, was pictured wearing her wedding band on Sunday while in New York City with her mother and the couple's two children.
The New York Daily News reports neither star has stepped out without their ring since the split was announced.
Despite rampant speculation about the status of their relationship, Catherine's wedding finger remained adorned with the symbolic piece of jewellery during the family outing.
According to the outlet, the pair are slowly working things out.
"This week there have been conflicting reports that the Welsh actress has agreed to let Michael return to their New York family home following a trial separation over the summer," the Daily News states. "It seems the actor is determined to win Catherine back and is thrilled she is open to giving their marriage a chance."
It's been nearly three months since Catherine, 44, and Michael, 69, announced their plans to separate in order to "evaluate and work on their marriage", although some reports claim they had split as early as May.
It has been suggested that health battles put a strain on the relationship.
In 2010 Michael was diagnosed, and has since beat, tongue cancer. Catherine has meanwhile sought treatment for bipolar II disorder multiple times.
Michael stated last month he has every intention of working through the couple's problems and continues to wear his ring to assert that promise.
"Look at my hand! I'm wearing my wedding ring. My wife and I are on a break. Many couples do that," he told German newspaper Bild. "But I hope that our marriage will last very, very long - forever, maybe."© Cover Media
