  • Kim Chiu cries over Xian Lim’s birthday surprise

    Kapamilya star Kim Chiu feels overwhelmed and grateful because onscreen partner Xian Lim and their friends gave her a surprise party in San Francisco, where they are doing a show.

    Kim, who turned 24 on Saturday, April 19, took to Instagram to share photos of the party.

  • Celebrities take a Holy Week breather

    Celebrities with a tight schedule the whole year round took  advantage of the Holy Week break to reflect and relax with family and friends.

    Long-time couple Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera are in Japan, where they took photos  of Omotesando Hills, a popular shopping complex in Tokyo.

    Dingdong complemented Marian by posting,  “This woman never fails to effortlessly complement lenses, even when on vacation"  beside his girilfriend's photo.

  • K-pop stars pray for sunken ferry victims

    The tragedy that befell passengers of the sunken ferry in South Korea has sparked a wave of sympathy from K-pop stars, who are praying, not just for those aboard the  sea vessel, but for their bereaved families as well.

    The  ferry, which reportedly has 475 passengers,  among them 325 students, was on its way to Jeju Island when it capsized in the morning of Wednesday, April 16.  A total of 287 passengers are reportedly  missing, while eight are said to be dead. Reports say 179 passengers have been rescued.

    Singer-music producer Jay Park asked his followers to “pray for a miracle.”

    “Just heard about what happened.... So unfortunate everyone pray for a miracle.. Rip to the lost ones,” Jay posted.

  • Noel Cabangon admits it's harder to sell albums these days

    Singer-songwriter Noel Cabangon admits modern technology is making it hard for him to sell albums,   especially to the tech-savvy generation. People can listen to or play a song with just one click of a mouse.  They don’t have to buy a CD anymore.

    Noel explained that this makes it very challenging to release an album of original songs.  And this is why some local singers are pressured to veer away from their personal style.
