Go Blue! Madonna's Daughter Enrolls at the University of Michigan
June has been a month full of milestones for Madonna's oldest daughter, Lourdes Ciccone Leon.
Not only did the budding 17-year-old actress and fashion entrepreneur graduate from high school and attend her senior prom, she's now matriculated as a freshman at the University of Michigan. It's the same school that her world famous mom attended for two years on a dance scholarship before dropping out and moving to New York City to pursue her music career.

The Detroit Free Press reported that Lourdes's profile "now appears in the university's formal student directory, listing her as an undergraduate affiliated with the U-M School of Music, Theatre & Dance." The paper points out that orientation for school's summer term began on Monday.
Never one for subtlety, Madonna posted this pic from the school's Ann Arbor campus on Tuesday. "I think ill stop in here! #unapologeticbitch," she captioned the shot.
Madonna, 55, and Lourdes were spotted touring the University of Michigan last November. Back in 2012, the Queen of Pop made it known that she was already hoping her daughter would become a Wolverine. When speaking to the NFL Network before her Super Bowl XLVI halftime performance, the Material Girl said, "I keep telling her, Ann Arbor is an awesome place."
Aside from being mom's top choice, the University of Michigan is also known for having one of the top musical theater programs in the country. (If that's what Lourdes wants to get into!) Some of Broadway's biggest names — including Tony Award winner Sutton Foster and her brother Hunter Foster, David Burtka, Gavin Creel, Barrett Foa, and Celia Keenan-Bolger — have graduated from the program.
Madonna certainly seems to be getting in touch with her Michigan roots lately. A few weeks ago she toured the economically challenged city of Detroit and vowed to "make the future of [the city] brighter."
