Who won the Mo Twister vs Estradas Twitter debate?

It was a Twitter battle no one saw coming.

On one side is the always controversial, outspoken disc jockey and TV host now waxing passionate as anti-corruption advocate. On the other side are alleged beneficiaries of the supposed clandestine activities of their already arraigned and jailed senator-father over his involvement in the PDAF (Priority Development Assistance Fund) scam.

Yes, the heated exchange between the loquacious Mohan “Mo Twister” Gumatay and the embattled Estrada siblings Jules and Jel on the microblogging site Twitter made Friday live up to its madness, amid smirks and guffaws from the social media audience.

It was Mo who began the fireworks with a tweet, just a small part of a string of tweets against the Instagram posts of another Estrada sibling, Jolo, revealing his lavish fashion style and getaways.

Interestingly, we find that Councilor Jel Ejercito had her Twitter account inaccessible after the controversy broke out.

Heel to hero?

Has Mo Twister turned from heel to hero overnight? It might be so, as the comments would show, although there were those who minded the use of cuss words in attacking these “kids.”

But even if we see him as utterly crass and arrogant, Mo Twister was still the clear winner in this pick-up Twitter war. He dangled a dare so tempting for members of this family under attack over allegations of widescale corruption, while inexplicably dragging themselves into the controversy. Now, these Estrada youngsters have taken this waywardness further by taking the bait.

As a result, it has become one weekend entertainment fare of immense viral proportions.
