K-Pop group Block B to visit Manila

The Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines is making K-Pop fans happy this September by bringing in one of the freshest K-Pop boy groups to Manila. The center is an agency under the Korean Culture and Information Service of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea.

Block B is a South Korean boy group that debuted last April 15 with their single "Do You Wanna B?". Block B has seven members including Zico, Taeil, B-Bomb, Jaehyo, U-Kwon, P.O., and Kyung. The group is under the label Brand New Stardom and mentored by several hip-hop artists before their debut. The group's first mini album released last June 23 has a total of 8 tracks and is entitled "New Kids on the Block".

Block B will be visiting Manila for a hallyu concert on September 1. Tickets to the show are not being sold since this is part of the center's program to promote Korean culture. According to the Facebook page of the Korean Cultural Center, they will be having an online quiz from August 16 to 22. Those who win the quiz will be given tickets to see the Korean musical play "Miso Musical" as well as the Block B show. The organizers also hinted that the questions will not be about K-Pop but will be about general Korean culture. Those who wish to catch Block B better brush up on their Korean culture trivia!
