‘Daily Show’ continues impressive Emmy win streak

For the tenth year a row, "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" took home the Emmy Award for Outstanding Variety, Music, or Comedy Series. In his speech, Stewart had the guts to say what everybody was thinking: The category he and his team won for has gotten really bleepin' predictable.

"The Daily Show's" win streak is the longest in Emmy history. And it's really not even close. "Frasier" won Best Comedy Series five years in a row. And "The Amazing Race" won the Outstanding Reality Competition seven years in a row. That streak would still be going if "Top Chef" hadn't won back in 2010.

In terms of Emmy wins, "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" is one of the most successful programs ever. The last time a variety show not named "The Daily Show" took home an Emmy came about in the first term of George W. Bush's presidency when "Late Show with David Letterman" won. Since then, it's been pure domination from Stewart and company.
