Sofia Vergara Twerks It Up at HBO's Emmys Afterparty

Whether your show is on the network or not, no star can resist HBO's annual Emmys afterparty. The soiree, held at the Pacific Design Center, played host to some of the biggest stars in television on Sunday night.

The network's big Emmy winners Jeff Daniels, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Tony Hale were of course belles of the ball, but other celebrities including Kerry Washington, Michelle Dockery, Claire Danes, and Sofia Vergara also made cameos.

Vergara put her $7 million assets on display (we're talking jewels here, people) and lit up the room as she made her way inside the bash. The "Modern Family" actress was clearly thrilled to celebrate her win in the Outstanding Comedy Series category and much to the delight of guests, twerked out her feelings on the dance floor.

No, really. Surrounded by family and friends, the 41-year-old Colombian stunner busted move after move in the middle of HBO's bash.

"Miley cyrus this is where the twerk was invented. Colombia!" the actress later joked on Twitter.

Despite split rumors, Sofia was very much together with fiancé Nick Loeb inside the bash as the two kissed and danced the night away. Sorry fellas, there appeared to be no signs of trouble in paradise.

Sofia's "Modern Family" co-stars Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell also joined in on the festivities.

A few feet over, Emmy winner Michael Douglas held court … but unfortunately, there was no twerking involved. The "Behind the Candelabra" star spent most of the night chatting with his director (and fellow winner) Steven Soderbergh and a few other guy pals. Although Catherine Zeta-Jones was half-way around the world (we did love that Michael thanked her in his acceptance speech), his wedding ring was very much on display.

Daniels — who still had gum on standby — mingled with "Newsroom" castmates Marcia Gay Harden, Jane Fonda, and Allison Pill.

Scooting by Jeff & Co. and making a late entrance was Claire Danes. Once inside, the "Homeland" actress made a beeline for "Girls" star Lena Dunham. The two ladies hugged and complimented each other on their dresses (naturally) and talked for a while before parting ways.

Scattered around the party, casts of HBO's hit shows all stuck together.

Emilia Clarke, Kit Harrington, Lena Headey, Peter Dinklage, Jason Momoa, and George R.R. Martin all chatted around the "Game of Thrones" table, while Louis-Dreyfus, Hale, Anna Chlumsky, and Matt Walsh had a "Veep" dance party going on across the room.

Meanwhile "True Blood" stars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer were enjoying date night out.

Other celebs in attendance included Mick Jagger, Laura Dern, Aaron Paul, Stephen Colbert, Malin Akerman, Bobby Cannavale and Rose Byrne, Anna Camp and Skylar Astin, and Jason Bateman.
