  • K-Pop fans rejoice! The year 2013 will start off with a big K-Pop bang!

    Rumors have been circulating for months and finally, there is a confirmation. Happee Sy of Pulp Live! recently tweeted: "Lineup for Dream Kpop Fantasy: Girls Generation, EXO K&M, Infinite, U-KISS, Tasty, Tahiti. Date: Jan. 19, 2013. Venue: SM MOA Open Grounds."

    This is definitely a dream come true for many K-Pop fans, especially as Girls Generation, EXO and Infinite will be performing in the country for the first time.

    Last Oct. 24, Filipino K-Pop fans were blown away by phenomenal Hallyu superstars Big Bang in an unforgettable concert at the Mall of Asia Arena. What the fans didn't anticipate was the arrival of another K-Pop superstar, Sandara Park of Hallyu group 2NE1, who flew in to support her YG Entertainment labelmates.

  • Hallyu superstar Big Bang graced the Philippines recently for the Manila stop of their BigBang Alive Galaxy Tour 2012. VIPs, the name of Big Bang fans, flocked to the Mall of Asia Arena on Oct. 24 to witness the K-Pop concert of the year as G-Dragon, Taeyang, T.O.P., Daesung and Seungri performed for thousands of VIPs.

    5. Taeyang: The Dancing Dynamo. The dancing prowess of Taeyang is legendary among Big Bang fans.  Witnessing his energy and dynamism up close is a completely different experience. From start to finish, Taeyang amazed fans as he swayed, swagged, popped and tumbled (twice!) for all his VIPs to behold. His solo performances which included "Look Only at Me" and "Wedding Dress" made Taeyang's amazing talents shine even more.

    After years of waiting to see G-Dragon, Taeyang, T.O.P., Daesung and Seungri perform in the flesh, Filipino fans called VIPs finally saw their idols in a concert they will cherish for a long time.

    The show was a fantastic mix of music, visuals, dance, fan service, and shared energy that it is a challenge to remember everything. The K-Pop kings performed close to 30 songs from their deep discography. The performancs were made more awesome by the huge, galaxy-themed stage and backdrops and of course, the fantastic (and I mean, FANTASTIC) fashion. Big Bang truly knows how to make their VIPs scream with delight.

    Super Junior, the undisputed top K-Pop idol group in the Philippines, holds the distinction of being the first K-Pop artist to reach gold status in the country with their album "Sorry, Sorry." Their follow-up release "Bonamana" went gold within 10 days.

    The First Philippine SJ Convention is organized by Super Junior United, a conglomerate of various Super Junior fan clubs in the Philippines. The group has organized many successful fan gatherings in the past including the SJRace (2009), SJUniversity (2009), SJPX2:Repackaged (2010), SJXpress (2010), and SJPremiere (2011).
