2NE1 set to conquer US after awards haul
K-Pop Hallyu stars 2NE1 is set to conquer the United States after their recent awards haul during the year-end award season. CL, Park Bom, Dara, and Minzy continue to keep themselves busy after their successful year.
There is no doubt that 2011 has been a very good year for 2NE1. During the recent award season, 2NE1 walked away with several top prizes in all the 2011 year-end award shows. The hip and talented girls of 2NE1 probably needed help as they carried their many awards home. To date, the girls who redefines the term ' girl power' have won the following awards:

Best Dance and Electronic Album for "To Anyone"
Melon Music Awards
Top 10 Artists of 2011
Album of the Year for "2NE1: 2nd Mini Album"
MNET Asia Music Awards (MAMA)
Song of the Year for "I am the Best"
Best Group Vocal Performance for "Lonely"
The Blackjacks as fans of 2NE1 are called also showed their power and devotion by voting for 2NE1 for the MTV Iggy Award for "Best New Band". With this win, 2NE1 will be going to New York to perform with other new bands on December 12, 2011. The MTV Iggy Website (Link: http://www.mtviggy.com/best-new-band/) invites fans to witness the "MTV Iggy Best New Band Concert" online via live streaming. MTV also promises fans that the show will be accessible through iPads, iPhones and all Android devices. 2NE1 is also nominated for two Golden Disks awards.
