  • JYJ (Photo courtesy of PolyEast records)It looks like one of my K-Pop wishes for 2012 is coming true! The month of love is starting up pretty rosy for JYJ fans because it is confirmed that JYJ's notable album "In Heaven" will be released within the month.

JYJ is composed of former-TVXQ members Jaejoong, Yuchun and Junsu. About their album, they expressed that: "We are very delighted to make our music heard by fans after the long break. The songs are already released during our world tour and most of the songs are telling our own stories. It is meaningful to show JYJ itself with this music."

"In Heaven" contains a total of ten tracks including the title track "In Heaven" written by Jaejoong himself. The music video of "In Heaven" also featured the acting talents of fellow member Junsu and is one of the most tear-jerking music videos of 2011.

"In Heaven" is indeed an achievement for JYJ, who were unable to publicly promote the album due to certain hurdles. Regardless of the lack of promotions, the power of JYJ revealed itself

  • Korean Pop Music (K-Pop) albums have consistently topped sales charts across record bars in the Philippines for the past two years. K-Pop artists like Super Junior, Girls' Generation, 2NE1, Big Bang, Wonder Girls, SHINee, 2PM, B2ST, CNBLUE and many others have become familiar names among music fanatics whether K-Pop fans or not. Local distributors like Universal Records, PolyEast Records, and Warner Music have invested in K-Pop and sales figures attest they are not regretting it.

Still, there are K-Pop artists who are very successful in their own right but are yet to be distributed in the country. It seems that some of the top K-Pop artists are yet to be noticed by local distributors. Here's my little K-Pop artist wishlist for 2012. What a treat it will be to see these artists' albums on local record bar shelves.

  • Becoming a K-Pop star is no walk in the park. It involves years of preparation, and only the best and the brightest survive. If a singer or dancer manages to make it into a group, it is no guarantee of success. Getting noticed among other members can be quite difficult, and talent alone is not enough to stand out.

When an artist does have true talent, we can only hope their stars will shine, sooner or later, as in the case of these four incredibly gifted vocalists from popular K-Pop acts Super Junior, Secret, 2PM, and Sistar. These four pack quite the vocal punch and 2012 may just be the year they shine above the rest.

    Kim Ryeowook (Super Junior)

Sports KoreaOn paper, Ryeowook seem to have everything: razor-sharp jawline, cheekbones to die for, a hard-working ethic, and, of course, the amazing voice that has made him one of Super Junior's three main vocalists (alongside Kyuhyun and Yesung). The humble vocalist always seemed content to fade into the background, letting members with "on-cam"

  • Lee Min Ho and Park Min Young (SportsKorea)Korean star couple Lee Min Ho and Park Min Young seemed to have parted ways.

K-drama fans will recall that the twosome met and started dating while shooting "City Hunter" six months ago. Although many of Lee Min Ho's fans were dismayed by the "unavailable" status of their favorite star, most have learned to be happy for him. After today's news, it looks like the hot actor is single once again.

Park Min Young's agency revealed that the couple have parted ways for a while now. Park's agency expressed that due to Lee Min Ho and Park Min Young's busy schedules, they had very limited time to spend with each other causing their relationship to fall apart. Park's agency further revealed that the couple broke up even before the 2011 acting award shows which explains why the stars attended two different award ceremonies separately.

No official word from Lee Min Ho's agency has been released. Stay tuned for more updates.
