Big Bang members keep busy, minus Daesung

Hallyu superstars Big Bang recently signed an endorsement deal with popular clothing brand The North Face. Executives of the outdoor clothing brand said they selected the members of Big Bang on the basis of their being considered regional Asian leaders in both music and style. Images of Big Bang are set to be displayed at all The North Face clothing stores across South Korea (and probably soon, in Philippine stores).

The North Face has spared no expense to make sure the masculine charms of Big Bang come out in full force. Last month, G-Dragon, Top, Seungri, and Taeyang flew to New Zealand for their first photo shoot for The North Face, taking hundreds of photos of the boys having fun in the famed New Zealand scenery to match the concept, "Never Stop Exploring." Given Big Bang's propensity for videos, it was only a matter of time before videos for The North Face would surface. Big Bang maknae Seungri uploaded an adorable video on his me2day blog, showing T.O.P. and Taeyang's antics eating snow; a few days later, a video featuring a never-before-heard Big Bang song, plus images of the boys in their stylish The North Face gear, surfaced on the Internet.

And where was fifth Big Bang member Daesung in the middle of all this?

Big Bang fans can rest easy because Daesung's legal woes stemming from his having run over a motorist (Hyperlink: http://ph.omg.yahoo.com/blogs/okpop/big-bang-daesung-car-accident-045902418.html) last May 31, have seem to come to an end. After reaching a civil settlement with the family of the victim, a person named Hyun who was under the influence at the time of his death, Daesung has received word that the Korean prosecutors assigned to his case have issued a verdict of "not guilty." The lawmen decided there wasn't enough evidence to determine whether or not Hyun was already dead after hitting a streetlight when Daesung ran over him on May 31st. Considering the principle of "innocent until proven guilty," the police have decided Daesung's case is now closed.
