Boys Over Flowers’ Goo Hye Sun finishes new drama

South Korean actress Goo Hye Sun, best known for her role as Geum Jan Di in the smash Korean romance drama "Boys Over Flowers," recently wrapped up her new drama, "Take Care of Us, Captain."

The SBS drama completed its 20-episode run in March with average ratings of 8.8%, considered low but not too shabby, considering that "Take Care of Us, Captain" ran smack into the ratings juggernaut that was "The Moon That Embraces the Sun." Fans may recall that Goo Hye Sun's "Boys Over Flowers" co-star Kim Hyun Joong also completed a drama, "Playful Kiss," that was exceptionally well-made but didn't earn particularly high ratings because it launched around the same time that South Korea was swooning over "Baker King."

In "Take Care of Us Captain," Goo Hye Sun essays the role of Han Da Jin, a student pilot who loses her parents in a tragedy but returns to Korea determined to fly and make her parents proud of her. In the course of her following her heart, she runs into Kim Yoon Sung (essayed by actor Ji Jin Hee, "Dong Yi"), Han Da Jin's father's student, under whom she trains. Veteran drama actors Yoo Sun ("Daemang", "General Hospital 2") and Lee Chun Hee ("Gloria", "Road No. 1") completes the stellar cast.

Here's a treat for Goo Hye Sun fans will surely love these stills from the drama.
