CNBLUE builds ‘CNBLUE School’ in Africa

Popular Korean band CNBLUE, who recently released their extremely successful single "Hey You" from their third mini-album "Ear Fun," helped build a school in Burkina Paso, an underdeveloped country in Western Africa.

According to FNC, CNBLUE's management, the decision to help support and improve one of the world's poorest nations through education was an idea generated by the CNBLUE members themselves. Due to the love and support they received from their fans worldwide, Jung Yong Hwa, Lee Jong Hyun, Lee Jung Shin, and Kang Min Hyuk felt the need to spread the love they received. They chose to focus their charitable work in helping children specifically children in Africa.

CNBLUE also promised to assist about 1,100 children from the village with after school classes and free lunch. Through this effort, the band expressed that they will continue to take the lead in helping neglected children.

The desire to give back is also something the Boices, as CNBLUE fans are called, take onto their hearts. One such inspiring effort was completed by Boices through the efforts of CNBLUESTORM, a fan-initiated blog catering to all things CNBLUE. Inspired by their common love for CNBLUE, Boices who frequented the site contributed to a project called "The Way of Bluelove." Through this project, the Boices contributed towards building a "Blue House" for a Gawad Kalinga beneficiary. What a way to spread the love they feel for their idol.

Congratulations to CNBLUE for not just giving joy to their fans through music but also providing much needed inspiration.
