Girls’ Generation announces new spin-off group

The rumors are true!

K-Pop Hallyu stars Girls' Generation is really launching a sub-group composed of three of its top vocalists.

SM Entertainment made the formal announced that Girls' Generation members Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun are spinning off into something similar to Super Junior K.R.Y.

The new group's name? Taetiseo—obviously, a combination of the names of the three members.

SONEs or Girls' Generation fans are certain to be intrigued about what the new group is going to offer by way of a unique sound. Taetiseo's first mini-album, "Twinkle," scheduled for release on May 2, should answer all questions.

But, based on the album cover of "Twinkle," the trio looks like it will introduce a sound that's a departure from the pop feel of Girls' Generation.
