Girls Generation wins big in 2010 Melon Music Awards
The 2010 Melon Music Awards, held on December 15 at the Hall of Peace in Kyunghee University, got a lot of support from K-pop artists and fans. With performances from 2NE1, Girls Generation, 2PM, Lee Seung Gi, and DJ Doc, the show lived up to its initially released teasers. The Melon Music Awards is a highly respected award-giving body since it only calculates digital sales (80%) and online votes (20%) on Melon.com.
This year, Girls Generation or SNSD won several Melon awards including the 2010 Artist award, the 2010 Hot Trend award, and the 2010 Best Dressed award. The girls were also named as one of the 2010 Top Ten. Other winners include 2AM, Super Junior, and CNBLUE. The complete list of the 2010 Melon Awards are as follows:
