K-Pop star Jay Park headlines “MTV Exit Live in Manila”

Korean pop sensation and Twitter celebrity Jay Park is set to perform in Manila for the "MTV EXIT Live in Manila" on October 29 at the SM Mall of Asia. The free outdoor concert is presented by MTV EXIT (End Exploitation and Trafficking) to raise awareness and increase prevention of human trafficking.

Jay Park, who recently staged a successful K-Pop comeback with his mini album "Take a Deeper Look," is headlining the concert along with Californian alternative rock band, Evaline.

MTV EXIT's campaign director Matt Love said, "After our successful 2009 tour of the Philippines, we are excited to be bringing back together some fantastic artists to inspire the youth to join the fight to end human trafficking."

Human trafficking is a form of modern-day slavery. The United Nations estimates that there are 2.5 million trafficked victims at any one time and majority of these victims are in Asia and the Pacific, which includes the Philippines.

To increase awareness, MTV EXIT and the Visayan Forum Foundation will be hosting a National Youth Summit for the Movement of Anti-Trafficking Advocates during the week before the concert.

"MTV EXIT Live in Manila" is presented in partnership with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID), and Subaru Automobiles. Additional concert and ticketing details will be announced soon.
