Lee Min Ho exhibits the power of a hallyu star

Lee Min Ho, the Korean actor from 'Boys Over Flowers' and 'Personal Preference', exhibited his celebrity power as hundreds of his fans waited for his arrival in Thailand last March 24. The fans, some coming from other countries, reportedly waited all night to catch a glimpse of the star even after his flight was delayed for almost four hours due to inclement weather conditions.

Lee Min Ho visited Thailand to shoot scenes for his upcoming drama series "City Hunter" which is based on the original Japanese manga by Tsukasa Hojo. This is the first time "City Hunter" is being shot as a live-action drama series. A movie was once shot in 1993 starring Jackie Chan.

Lee Min Ho became an international hallyu star after appearing in the successful Korean drama "Boys Over Flowers," which was one of the forces that propelled the Korean hallyu wave all over the world.

Acting alongside Lee Min Ho are Park Min Young ('SungKyunKwan Scandal'), KARA's Goo Hara, Lee Hyo Jung ('Giant'), Kim Sang Joong ('Life Is Beautiful'), Chun Ho Jin ('Paradise Ranch', 'Midas') and Lee Gwangsoo ('Running Man'). "City Hunter" will be shown on the SBS Channel starting May 24. Lee Min Ho's fans, the Minoz, are probably counting the days until May 24.
