miss A scores a K-Pop touchdown with ‘Touch’

The mixed Korean and Chinese K-Pop girl group miss A has recently released "Touch," its fourth musical project with the title track as its carrier single.

Thousands of Say A's, as miss A fans are known, came out in full force to support the girls' latest mini album, it's third after "Step Up" and "Bad But Good." The full fan support lead to miss A's chart-topping finishes on several Korean digital music sites. "Touch" also took the #1 spot on many Korean charts and countdowns, including "Champion Song" status on rising MBC chart show "Show Champion."

The MV for "Touch" proved just as successful. A day after its release on YouTube, "Touch" registered more than a million views. To date, the video has more than three million views. For this release, Fei, Jia, Min and Suzy showed a more mature image bringing a more sophisticated feel that pleased fans worldwide. The MV also registers a sleek, dark vibe unlike previous videos from miss A. The MV was so successful that it took the top spot on the popular Chinese music video chart Yin Yue Tai.

"Touch: The 4th Project" contains five new tracks and one remix. The title track and carrier single was written by Park Jin Young, founder of JYP Entertainment. "Lips" was written by Usher-collaborator Billion Dollar Baby, along with Redd Stylez and Nikki Flores, and produced by international producer Fuego, best-known for his work with Chris Brown. "Rock n Rule" was written and produced by Girls' Generation contributor Noday, while "No Mercy" is a product of 2PM collaborator Hong Ji Sang. The dance track "Over U" was written by Ursula Yancy, who has written material for Rihanna.
