Superstar girl group 2NE1's Sandara Park, who was once a Manila resident and an ABS-CBN contract artist after making waves in the network's "Star Circle Quest," has created a stir in Korea with her bold new haircut.
The star known for her fearless hair transformations posted a photo of her new haircut last December 16 with a funny quote on her me2day. Sandara Park, also known as Dara, seemed to be a little apprehensive about her new haircut when she said "2NE1's Dara is reborn as a sophisticated city girl! But where is the sexiness and hotness? Instead I became an elementary school student!"
Fans and netizens seem to disagree with Sandara's apprehension, though, as her hair transformations had set numerous trends in Korea and other parts of the world. Many fans expressed that her new bob cut effectively makes her look even cuter than she already is. It will not be a surprise to see a lot of Sandara-inspired hair copycats within the next few months. Sandara is also credited for popularizing the palm tree hair and the byeomeori hairstyle.
Sandara debuted the glamorized version of her new haircut during the 2010 Melon Music Awards where 2NE1 was recognized as one of 2010's Top Ten as well as winning the 2010 Album for "To Anyone." It is clear from the audience's response that Sandara Park's new style is a hit.
So, what do you think of Sandara Park's new hairstyle?
