Actor John Apacible shot dead

Actor John Apacible died Sunday, March 20 after he was shot twice in the chest in Cainta, Rizal. John was 38.

Media reports identified his uncle, Armand Rustia, as his assailant. Rustia allegedly shot the actor while he was drinking with some friends. He was declared dead on arrival at the Metro Rizal Doctors Hospital.

John's mother, Aurora Apacible, told GMA News that Armand is planning to surrender to authorities soon.

A character actor who first entered show business through the 1996 movie "Nights of Serafina," John recently appeared in movies such as "Shake, Rattle, and Roll 12" and "Mamarazzi."
