Diego, son of Cesar and Teresa, tries hand at showbiz
Diego Loyzaga, son of multi-awarded actor-director Cesar Montano and actress Teresa Loyzaga, is trying to make a name for himself in the world of show business.
Diego who recently signed a three year exclusive contract with the Kapamilya network will be part of ABS-CBN hit series "Mara Clara." He will be playing the role of Derrick, a character formerly portrayed by the late actor, Rico Yan.
In a press statement sent to Yahoo! OMG! Philippines, 15 year old Diego admitted that he feels the pressure of joining the top rating series.
"The pressure is there. But, I'll put that pressure into good use. Mas lalo ko po pagiigihan," he said.
Diego who is co-managed by ABS-CBN's training and management program, Star Magic underwent workshops with multi-awarded directors in the country to prepare him for his role.
"I feel that I am prepared. I underwent workshops under Direk Laurice Guillen and Malou de Guzman for my role here in 'Mara Clara'," said the young up and coming actor.
"Mara Clara" airs weeknights on ABS-CBN after "Minsan Lang Kitang Iibigin."
