Kathryn denied speculations, saying that she and Diego are just friends.
Pero wala naming something na nangyayari kase hindi naman talaga sya nangliligaw sa'kin eh," Kathryn said in an interview with "Showbiz News Ngayon (SNN)" on Friday, June 10.
Kathryn and Diego are schoolmates in OB Montessori in Greenhills. She said they became more comfortable with each other as their taping of "Mara Clara" progressed. Pero kase since everyday kami, magkasama, nadedevelop yung friendship naming pero yun lang, friends lang talaga kami, super close kami," Kathryn said.
The pair was rumored to be dating when they were spotted together in a restaurant. But, Kathryn said it was just a casual dine-out together with the other members of the cast.
Parang bonding session lang namin," Kathryn said.
Asked who she likes more between Diego and Albie Casino, her co-stars in "Mara Clara," Kathryn said Albie is like a big brother to her, while Diego is a friend.
Kathryn, Diego, Albie and Julia Montes are set to work together again for a teen-oriented TV program. For now, Kathryn and Diego are just happy to be working together as friends.
"Parang nadevelop talaga yung friendship naming apat, parang magbabarkada kami. Pag sa set, sobrang ingay naming," Kathryn said.
