Kathryn on John: Only the best of friends
“Mara Clara” star Kathryn Bernardo may have learned about series co-star John Manalo’s real feelings towards her but it seems the young actress knows her priorities.
In a recent press conference to announce the second season of the hit ABS-CBN series, Kathryn said she already has her mind set on her studies and career but thanked John anyway for admitting that he likes her.
"Si John kasi parang best friends po kami. Since bata pa po kami parang magkapatid po kami. Ayun thank you," said Kathryn.
John, who plays Eris in the series, had admitted that he “likes” Kathryn and told her about his true feelings towards her personally but it was apparent, he said, that she did not take it seriously.
"Kasi ako po yung taong palabiro, jolly so hindi po nila ako sineseryoso. Inaamin ko po na napaka spontaneous kong tao parang weird pa nga yung paningin nila sa 'kin kasi sobrang bilis talaga ng takbo ng utak ko, minsan ako rin naguguluhan din ako sa utak ko kasi parang bawat bagay may snap, may idea. Nasabi ko sa kanya pero hindi niya ako pinaniniwalaan," John said.
Why does he like Kathryn, who plays Mara in the series?
"Para sa akin she's one of a kind. Pero kailangan muna magfocus sa kanya- kanya naming daanan," John stressed.
"Naniniwala po ako na kung mahal mo yung isang tao gagawin mo yung lahat. Ako inaamin ko po malalim po akong tao, natatakot po ako hindi po mareject pero bata pa po ako, natatakot po ako na hindi muna mabigay yung lahat kasi lahat tayo may sari-sarili pa tayong buhay, kailangan mo muna i-enjoy yung childhood mo kasi hindi mo na mababalikan to eh," John added.
