It just happens again and again.
And all who watch are just baffled.
Here’s another sex video scandal, allegedly involving two celebrities, less than a month after the last leaked sex video.
Comedian Wally Bayola is surely someone being hotly searched these days and it’s not because of his stage antics with Jose Manalo, but for something that seems to be a trend affecting show business nowadays.
It’s about an alleged recorded tryst with a fellow talent from the top noontime program “Eat Bulaga!”, Yoshika “Yosh” Rivera, now circulating online. Yes, it’s another sex video scandal—something that doesn’t surprise anyone except of course that in this instance, it documents a possible act of extramarital sex.
The big question on everyone’s mind is: why in the world record it?
A criminal act?
Hayden Kho said his sex videos were merely personal mementos of being a single man. Chito Miranda and Neri Naig owned up to theirs and apologized to their families for the leaked vid.
And the latest now going around?
This is trickier. It could be a career ender for both of them and can be used as potential evidence for a criminal act. Can concubinage be proven with the video? That carries a four-year sentence, according to the Revised Penal Code of the Philippines. While some legal experts say this is “hard to prove” in court, the video can still be used as a strong piece of evidence.
Whoever was on the video didn’t care
Wally’s comedy partner, Jose Manalo, had been charged by his wife for the same transgression but she had no proof to substantiate it. Now, if Wally’s wife Riza decides to file a case against her husband, she has everything at her disposal--a concubinage case or the more widely used violence against women and children charge.
But whoever was on the video didn’t care.
The alleged moving image of Wally even peered through the lens and clearly showed his face. He then fixed the camera’s position for a better view of their “show.” By video’s end, the man believed to be Wally then showed himself again, looked at the camera and smiled while kissing his partner and making his signature "pa-pogi" pose. And worse, he then zoomed his camera to his partner's private parts with the "manly" proof all over it.
It’s like leaking it yourself
If it was Wally on the video, it seems quite unlikely that he intended it to go viral.
But then again, the planning, the shooting, and the storing of such videos are risky enough. And when it’s so easy today to hack and leak anything on one’s phone or hard drive, recording your most private moments is almost tantamount to sharing it yourself.
So what now and what’s next?
One thing’s for sure: Wally has nothing to laugh about these days.
