Piolo: KC showed me true meaning of love
A teary eyed Piolo Pascual reaffirmed his love for girlfriend KC Concepcion in front of an appreciative crowd during his Valentine’s concert.
In the “Piolo Meets the Maestro” concert at the PICC last February 14 with topnotch composer and arranger Ryan Cayabyab, Piolo could not help but express his sincerest gratitude to KC who, he said, showed him the “true meaning of love.”
While singing the song "Ikaw ang Pangarap" (theme song of of the ABS-CBN fantasy series "Lobo"), Piolo went down the stage, approached KC and after the song, the couple hugged each other tight. He then went back up the stage and said, "When I was thinking about the lyrics of that song, I realized there's just one dream that I've always wanted to fulfill: to be with that special someone. I've always been single most of my life. I'm giving love a chance. I've always been a private person. My admission on ‘The Buzz’ was nerve-wracking. I had to stand up for somebody... somebody who's really...," Piolo, in tears, then made a short pause and said, "Somebody who's been there, who showed me the true meaning of love. Thank you, Kristina."
KC's mother, “Megastar” Sharon Cuneta, expressed her approval to Piolo and KC's relationship in an interview with ABS-CBN’s “SNN” recently but gave a simple plea to the Kapamilya actor.
"Piolo is welcome. He's part of our family in a way kahit hindi officially. Ang pakiusap ko lang PJ (Piolo's nickname), she was my princess before she became yours and she always will be, and I love her to death please take care of KC. Please take care of her heart and then we will love you...," said Sharon. “My wish for them is that wag nilang masyadong iisipin ang lahat ng mga opinyon ng lahat tao que napakaganda o que hindi maganda hindi nawawala sa showbiz. I want them both to be happy.”
Piolo will have its North American leg next month.
