Song to push ABS-CBN travel campaign launched

If you think "Piliin mo ang Pilipinas" is the Department of Tourism's newest travel campaign, you're wrong. The song which was officially launched last Sunday, August 28, on ABS-CBN's "ASAP Rocks" is the theme song for Choose Philippines, ABS-CBN Regional Network Group's (RNG) social networking website on travel, food, and events in the Philippines.

Written by ABS-CBN Creative Communications Management (CCM) Vice President Robert Labayen and sung by "Star Power" grand winner Angeline Quinto and Vincent Bueno, "Piliin mo ang Pilipinas" captures the beauty and diverse culture of the Philippines with its catchy tune and patriotic lyrics. It aims to attract both Filipino and international tourists to travel the Philippines and experience its wide array of scenic spots and food as well as to meet and connect with Filipino locals.

According to ABS-CBN News, Kapamilya talents, Luis Manzano, Gary Valenciano and Toni Gonzaga are among the website's celebrity endorsers.

Furthermore, Choose Philippines aims to help local entrepreneurs by promoting their businesses through the website. It goes by the principle of sustainable tourism by means of alternative livelihood.
