New year wish list for celebrities

New year wish list for celebrities

It’s the year of the rocking horse, and as usual, we look at the days to come with hope in our hearts, the promise of a better tomorrow, and new beginnings for the stars.

Here’s a little wish list that will hopefully make the stars less stressed and happier in 2014:

· Peace in the Barretto family. The feud has destroyed the bond between patriarch, Miguel, mommy Inday and Claudine, on one hand, and Gretchen and Marjorie, among others. Perhaps the Barrettos can take a cue from the family of Claudine’s estranged husband, Raymart Santiago. Raymart’s Kuya Randy has defended his younger brother, but has rightly refused to be dragged into the issue. Now that’s the spirit!

· Reconciliation between Charice and her mother Raquel Pempengco. Mother and daughter haven’t been in speaking terms for months. Even Charice’s grandmother, Teresita Relucio, said the singer attempted suicide and has gone bankrupt (not true, according to a reliable source).

But all is not lost. Charice said she wants to reach out to her mom. Let’s hope dear mom is just as willing to reconcile with her popular daughter.

· More movie productions for Kris Aquino. One hit movie deserves another. Let’s hope the overwhelming success of the Metro Manila Filmfest blockbuster “My Little Bossings” inspires Kris to produce another wholesome family picture that will make moviegoers flock to the cinemas and patronize local films.

· For Sarah Geronimo’s Mommy Divine to give her 25-year-old daughter more freedom to love and be loved. The young singer has been a good girl all along and she deserves to be happy – in the arms of rumored squeeze Matteo Guidicelli or any man she chooses to be with.

· Happy ever after for Karylle and Spongecola’s Yael Yuzon, who are reportedly tying the knot in March, and for Jericho Rosales and Kim Jones, who have set their summer wedding in Boracay.

· No more uncontrolled bouts of drinking for Anne Curtis, who got hit left, right and center for the slapping incident that arose from, among others, her non-sober state at Prive Luxury Club. Had she been more sober, Anne would not have dropped the now-famous line, “I can buy you, your friends and this club!”

· No more sex videos that go viral and make children and teens grow curious and – oh no --- hooked online. If the stars can’t keep those sex videos to themselves, might as well not shoot any at all.

· Repentance from Wally Bayola. Now that he is reportedly returning to Eat Bulaga, let’s hope Wally has learned his lesson about respecting women and his children, who must have suffered a lot after his sex video with EB Babe Yosh became a full-blown scandal.

· For Ryzza Mae ‘Aleng Maliit’ Dizon to stay as witty, natural and refreshingly innocent as she is. Oh, and let’s hope all the fame and fortune will not make her forget her studies. It’s her hedge against the uncertainties of showbiz and her guarantee for a stable future.

· For more stars to follow the examples of the likes of Angel Locsin and Maja Salvador, who give without announcing it in media. Their non-desire for media exposure is a stark contrast to other stars who want TV coverage whenever they help other people out.
