(May Tatlongharing nagsi-blog-an Christmas blog series)
I was at a barkada dinner last night with my high school friends and I found it funny that even after all these years, everyone is still shy to be the prayer leader.
We had to pass on the job three times and finally it was assigned to me - the last one to arrive. (For the record, I was late because I had band rehearsals for our New Year's countdown concert. See you at the Makati Shangri-la on December 31. Plug! Plug!)
I have heard some pretty awesome prayers in my life. My favorite ones come from Tito Gary who unconventionally incorporates movement as he prays in a circle with a big group of artists-singers, dancers and musicians right before a concert.
I asked relatives, friends and Twitter friends to share their Christmas prayers that we can impart with our own families on the day of the biggest birthday party of year.

Are you seeing too many red lights on the streets that are not of the Christmas-y kind? Then, it's time to feel the December breeze in the middle of the city.
I am talking about a little Christmas village located at the Meralco Compound along Ortigas Avenue, which is a couple of meters away from the historic EDSA shrine.
"The best things in life are free" as I discovered when I entered the Meralco gate and was told that I could walk around the premises for free amidst all the pretty lights!
The premises are open to the public from 6:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. on weekdays and 6:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M. on weekends. Children from different parts of the metro have been visiting the village as part of some organizations' outreach programs.

Quest Crew, the third season winner of "America's Best Dance Crew," went up against XB Gen San, the Season 1 grand champion of "Showtime." Streetboys' Vhong Navarro presented himself as one of the Filipino-American members along with Aris Paracuelles, Daniel Ryan "Ryanimay" Conferido, andBrian Hirano since he fit right in with the group with his purple shirt.
If you missed their performance and that amazing kids-do-not-try-this-at-home-land-on-your-head (without hitting it)-tumble that they do, you have to check them out over the weekend!
You can catch them today, Friday, December 3, 8 p.m. at the Newport Plaza @ Resorts World.
Saturday, December 4, 7 p.m. at the Eastwood Mall Open Park @ Eastwood City, Libis.
Sunday, December 5, 7 p.m. at The Venice Piazza, McKinley Hill.

Take one look at the eclectic mix of the "Showtime" hosts and you'll know that it was a purely genius "out of the box" idea to put the following hosts all in one show: one top dancer/comedian, one fashionista/best actress, a stand-up comedian, one broadcaster, and two rockstars. Throw in two DJs, a stage director/choreographer…and let's not forget the most important element, the ultra-energetic MADLANG PEOPLE and you've got a hit show!
I was really curious about how the "Showtime" family was formed, so I asked the director Bobet Vidanes a.k.a. "The Father of Showtime" for a backgrounder.
He started with the characters he wanted. He shared with me his winning formula:
1. People na may ambisyon na nag-uumpisa palang sa hosting = Rock n Roll Jugs & Teddy
Formula: Look for "taong may ambisyon sa buhay…lahat naman tayo may ambisyon like Teddy and Jugs. Gusto ko nag-uumpisa palang."
2. Taong mamahalin mo = Vhong Navarro

You probably woke up to the news that someone won the P741-million lotto jackpot.
When we still thought that we could be gazillionaires by this week, I asked a QUESTION and got 100 answers from Twitter. I was going to pick my top 10 but I think it would be interesting for everyone to read the tweets I got. After all, it is an issue of national concern.
