May Tatlongharing nagsi-blog-an…

(A Christmas blog series)

Are you seeing too many red lights on the streets that are not of the Christmas-y kind? Then, it's time to feel the December breeze in the middle of the city.

I am talking about a little Christmas village located at the Meralco Compound along Ortigas Avenue, which is a couple of meters away from the historic EDSA shrine.

"The best things in life are free" as I discovered when I entered the Meralco gate and was told that I could walk around the premises for free amidst all the pretty lights!

The premises are open to the public from 6:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. on weekdays and 6:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M. on weekends. Children from different parts of the metro have been visiting the village as part of some organizations' outreach programs.
