‘My Little Bossings’ leads MMFF box office on first day

The cute tandem of child stars Ryzza Mae Dizon and Bimby Aquino-Yap proved to be a hit as their comedy-family movie “My Little Bossings” ranked highest in the box office during the first day of the Metro Manila Film Festival on Wednesday, December 25.

According to the Metro Manila Film Festival's Twitter account, “My Little Bossings” ranked first, followed by Vice Ganda’s movie “Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy”. Horror movie “Pagpag,” which topbills Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo came in third, while Eugene Domingo’s “Kimmy Dora, Ang Kiyemeng Prequel” ranked fourth.

Other MMFF entries are “10,000 Hours,” which is inspired by the story of former senator Ping Lacson, biopic “Pedro Calungsod", dance movie “Kaleidoscope World” and the ER Ejercito-starrer action movie “Boy Golden".

On Wednesday night, Kris took to her Instagram account to give thanks for the success of "My Little Bossings,” which is Bimby's first movie. The movie also star Vic Sotto and Aiza Seguerra.

Kris, who is also the movie’s co-producer, announced that Bimby and Ryzza now “hold the box office record for highest opening day gross for a Filipino movie--revealing that “My Little Bossings” earned P50, 427,694.85 on the opening day.

"Thank you for the support & love you gave Bimby &@ryzzamaechacha... Bimby & Ryzza now hold the box office record for highest opening day gross for a Filipino movie... Thank You for the best Christmas gift! Thank you for loving our kids," she said.

President Noynoy Aquino showed support to his sister Kris and nephew Bimby as he watched the movie with them on its first day, together with Ryzza Mae. Kris posted various photos of PNoy, together with her sons Bimby and Josh. Ryzza and her family also came with them.
