Park Bo Young, the bright and bouncy actress, couldn′t hide her tears at the sight that met her in El Salvador.
Park Bo Young participated in a shoot for MBC′s 2012 KOICA′s Dream, set to air on November 21.
She joined the crew later due to her schedule with the Toronto International Film Festival, and started off by venturing into a forest to pick up clams for the children.
Even though it was a dangerous adventure, Park Bo Young didn′t lose her smile in the forest.
The money she earned after all the hard work, getting pricked by broken clam shells and getting bitten by crabs, however, added up to just a dollar and 25 cents.
Park Bo Young was shocked at the low earnings, and broke down into tears at how much children living in the area would have to suffer just to make ends meet.
Park Bo Young said, "The best we can do is to finish work on the orphanage and build the ships the people here need."
The El Salvador episode of 2012 KOICA′s Dream will air on November 21.
