‘TV Patrol’ is News Program of the Year at #YahooAwards

ABS-CBN’s flagship newscast “TV Patrol” proved it remains undisputed in its field by bagging the News Program of the Year trophy at the Yahoo Celebrity 2014 awards last Friday, July 18 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The primetime news program, anchored by Noli de Castro, Ted Failon and Korina Sanchez, got 173,925 votes.

This is the second time “TV Patrol” won the said award from Yahoo.

GMA’s “24 Oras” anchored by Mel Tiangco and Mike Enriquez came in second with 95,182 votes, followed by GMA News TV’s “State of the Nation” with Jessica Soho (26,391 votes); ABS-CBN’s “Bandila” anchored by Karen Davila, Ces Orena-Drilon and Julius Babao (10,398 votes) and TV5’s “Aksyon” anchored by Erwin Tulfo and Cheryl Cosim (3,687 votes).

Yahoo Celebrity Awards 2014 tallied about 309,583 votes for the News Program of the Year category.
