4Minute appeared on a popular radio show in the U.S.
On July 22nd, K-Pop girl group 4Minute appeared on channel Shade45's program called 'Whoolywood Shuffle,' and became the first Korean artists to participate in the show.
4Minute's appearance was broadcast on August 2nd (early morning in Korean time), and aroused huge excitement among a great number of local K-Pop fans.
'Whoolywood Shuffle,' hosted by prominent radio DJ and music producer DJ Whoo Kid, is one of the most popular radio programs in the region. A great number of top-class pop stars like EMINEM, Jay-Z, and Wiz Khalifa have appeared on the show as special guests.
4Minute got to appear on the show after receiving a call of request from the program’s production team. The demand for K-Pop contents is quickly rising in the U.S. music market these days, and many local music industry officials showed huge interests for 4Minute’s visit.
4Minute first had an official meeting with DJ Whoo Kid at a radio station that is located in Los Angeles, California, and had about ten minutes of interview. DJ Kid Whoo introduced 4Minute as K-Pop queens, and made a detailed introduction of their career.
Afterwards, the DJ had a deep conversation about Korean culture, and the on-going K-Pop syndrome.
DJ Whoo Kid uploaded a photo that he took with 4Minute members on his official SNS, and it is said that the head director of the program also congratulated 4Minute members’ career.
4Minute were the first K-Pop artists to appear on ‘Whoolywood Shuffle,’ and many K-Pop fans are showing even greater anticipation for 4Minute’s future activities.
Meanwhile, 4Minute members recently launched a new reality program called ‘4Minute’s Video’ in Korea.
