"Hindi kami galit. Huwag niyo nang tanungin about si Kris. Kasi lumalaki lang ng wala namang kwenta. Manahimik na lang kami."

Thus did Ai Ai de las Alas junk talks that she and Kris Aquino still have a rift, allegedly because of the latter’s  absence at the wake of the comedienne’s biological mother last December. Kris, who was then  in London with sons Josh and Bimby has apologized to Ai-Ai during a  "Kris TV" episode last January.

"Wala iyon. Kumabaga, about Kris, huwag na natin siyang pag-usapan. Nagkataon, na akala lang nila iyon. Ayaw ko nang pagusapan si Kris kasi hindi naman siya part of the cast (Dyesebel)," Ai-Ai said after the press conference of the upcoming teleserye "Dyesebel" on Thursday, March 13.

More comfortable with Boy

Ai-Ai also shared that she is willing to guest in Kris' talk show "Aquino & Abunda Tonight" to promote "Dyesebel."  Although she doesn't see any problem if Kris interviews her, Ai Ai prefers to be interviewed by Boy Abunda, whom she calls “Ama.”

"Oo, willing naman ako. Wala naman sa akin iyon. Alam naman natin na marami kaming pinagsamahan ni Kris."

Almost a year since her split with former husband Jed Salang, Ai-Ai said she is enjoying her single blessedness.

"Ang single-blessedness dapat masaya ka muna alone. Kasi kung nagkapartner ka, na may problema ka, malaking problema iyon. Okay na lang single ka alone, na masaya ka."

Even if she has moved on, Ai-Ai isn't looking for a new love.

"Tumigil muna ako. Pahinga muna, napagod ako eh. Hindi naman hinahanap iyan, darating iyan ng kusa," she said.

Near-drowning experience

Ai-Ai is back on primetime, where she plays Dyesebel's mother. She shared that she almost drowned during one of their  trainings.

"Alam ko na yung pagkakamali ko (when I almost drowned), so hindi na mauulit iyon. Sa five feet ako nagpapractice tapos dinala ako sa ten feet. Hindi ko natantsa yung pagbaba ko. Kinapos ako at nagpanic ako, kasi napansin ko na ang layo ko pa."

“Dyesebel," which topbills Anne Curtis, Sam Milby and Gerald Anderson, will start airing on March 17.
