Somebody give this lady a real microphone!

Netizens go abuzz over a viral video, which features a Filipino female singer covering Beyonce’s song “Dangerously in Love”.

The girl on the video, who looked very casual and relaxed using a lavender comb as her microphone while singing, is former “The X Factor Philippines” contestant Katrina Velarde. Katrina failed to make it to the Top 20 in the reality singing competition’s girls category, but she was grouped with other girl contestants. Their group was named AKA Jam.

The video was first posted on YouTube months ago, but it recently went viral when it was shared few days ago in group pages in Facebook, including the group page of Pinoy girl group Mocha Girls. The video posted in Mocah Girls’ page earned more than ten thousand likes. The group hopes that Katrina’s talent will be discovered by many.

“San kaya nakakabili ng suklay na ganito? makabili nga!!! Seriously speaking this girl deserves a break, galing mo, sana in this simple post of ours dto sa fb page ng MOCHA GIRLS ma discover ka, super galing mo!!!” the post says.

Netizens were amazed by Katrina’s performance, which Facebook users described as “effortless.” Many were also commenting and joking about the comb's "special power" because of how amazing her voice is.

Katrina performed “Dangerously in Love” as her audition piece in “The X Factor Philippines.” Coach-judge Charice even revealed that she used to compete with Katrina in singing competitions before. AKA Jam was mentored by Gary Valenciano.

“You just blew me away,” Charice told her during the audition.

Katrina, who now sports a shorter hair-do, still sings with AKA Jam. Many were also commenting that she should join the next season of “The Voice of the Philippines.” They also hope that American TV host Ellen de Generes would also feature Katrina, just like other Filipino talents who graced her show.
