A special tribute to filmmaker Alexander Payne is to take place at this year's installment of the Munich Film Festival, to be held between June 25 and July 4.

The festival would honor him with a retrospective of his films including "Election," which launched Reese Witherspoon's career, "About Schmidt" starring Jack Nicholson, California wine-country film "Sideways" starring Paul Giamatti, "The Descendents" starring George Clooney and "Nebraska," in which Bruce Dern stars, reports Variety.
