Amy Adams admires style risk takers

Amy Adams admires people who "take risks" with their style.

The actress is in awe of stars such as Lady Gaga who have the confidence to carry off strong looks.

Amy revealed that she is quite shy in real life and so avoids outfits that make her stand out from the crowd too much.

"I think it's great when women make a real statement, but I'm a little self-conscious. I prefer to stay pretty natural, as I hate drawing attention to myself [ironic I know as an actress]," Amy confessed to the British edition of InStyle magazine. "I really admire people like Lady Gaga and Katy Perry who have the freedom to wear such cool looks. I love people who take risks, but I also like to stay true to myself and that's just not me."

Hollywood's girl-next-door went on to describe how she also favours the natural look when it comes to her beauty routine. Amy confessed she couldn't live without mascara to give her eyes definition, but isn't a fan of thick layers of make-up.

"I'm a strong believer that looking perfect is boring and, besides, I'm far from it. I think it's nice when you can see a few imperfections, which is why I wear sheer rather than heavy foundations,” she added. “I guess the one product I couldn't live without is mascara."

Beyonce’s #Flawless image is embroiled in controversy once again. On Wednesday, a web site called The Beyonce World leaked 224 allegedly raw photos of the musician. The images showed Bey in full makeup for the 2013 L’Oreal ad campaign — but with the kinds of “imperfections” we all have — beauty marks, bumps, creases. In the wake of Cindy Crawford’s unretouched photos, the images have been praised by critics of a beauty industry that sets impossibly high standards, standards that Queen Bey …
