Anne dreams of becoming a preschool teacher

After conquering the movies, TV and concert stage, Anne Curtis now wants to rule over a totally different area: the pre-school classroom.

“Gusto kong maging pre-school teacher one day. This is something na no matter where in the world I will be, malapit pa rin ako sa children. That’s where my heart is,” Anne said during the joint press conference of Cinema One and her latest endorsement Wrigley’s Doublemint in ABS-CBN compound.

And it’s not just empty words. Anne enrolled herself in an open university in Australia.

“Sa open university in Australia, it depends on what unit, or what topic, or what subject you want to take up. It will put you in the right college. Right now, I did English Literature. In the upcoming semester, I will be doing Early Education,” she added.

Anne shared that hosting  “It’s Showtime” brought her closer to children.

“I’m always exposed to kids. I just have a lot of patience for them. I believe it’s a profession I could excel in if I wasn’t in this industry,” she said.

Anne knows that her full showbiz schedule won’t  allow her to finish her course in due time.  But she has high hopes about graduating from college.

“But the whole point na they encourage you to pursue yung studies mo kahit in the long run, kahit ilang units lang yung kukunin mo. Yung English Literature nga I'm just very lucky na kahit na mag-switch ako, sabi nila, it's still an elective. So isa iyan sa mga pangarap ko, ang maka-graduate ng college.”

How about marriage?

Is settling down anytime soon also part of her plans?

“The ball isn’t in my court. Pagdating sa ganyang tanungan, siyempre nasa kamay na ng lalaki iyan. If I feel that it’s the right time and he’s the right person, any moment then, why not?,” Anne replied.

She and  boyfriend Erwan Heusaff still have no definite plans about settling down.

“Not yet. I don’t think I could have kids and also be a pre-school teacher at the same time. I think I will have to enjoy muna yung pagiging pre-school teacher, then settle down. Then, you’ll have even more patience kasi you have more kids. We both have dreams, personal dreams, that we want to pursue so, hindi pa,” Anne revealed.

Meanwhile, Anne is looking forward to another major concert following her successful show at the Big Dome in 2012.
