New Apple TV coming in September: report

Apple TV

A new Apple TV -- complete with its own App Store -- looks to be on its way and could finally fulfill the subscription internet-TV service concept.

The company will unveil the device at its annual event in September at which new iPhones and other gadgets are typically announced, Buzzfeed reports.

The new Apple TV has been a long time coming, yet plans to unveil it in June were put apparently on hold when Apple turned the focus to music streaming service.

Improvements over the original version look set to include a touch-pad remote control, increased storage and a user-friendly operating system that supports Siri voice control.
