Bailey’s Women’s Prize for Fiction 2015 shortlist announced

Those looking for ideas for some good reads might wish to pick up one of the six books on the newly-revealed shortlist for this year's installment of the Bailey's Women's Prize for Fiction.

This year's Chair of Judges is Shami Chakrabarti and the finalists of the UK-based competition were announced during an evening reception at The Magazine Restaurant at London's Serpentine Sackler Gallery.

The shortlisted novels are Rachel Cusk's "Outline" (Faber/Vintage), Laline Paull's debut novel "The Bees" 5Fourth Estate), Kamil Shamsie's "A God in Every Stone (Bloomsbury), Ali Smith's "How to Be Both" (Hamish Hamilton), American writer Anne Tyler's 20th novel "A Spool of Blue Thread" (Chatto & Windus), and Sara Waters' "The Paying Guests" (Virago).

The top prize will be announced on June 3.
