Bea Binene: Bakit kami magpupublic apology?
Despite his threats to take the issue to court, Bea Binene says her camp does not see the need to apologize to Atty. Ferdinand Topacio.
“Bakit kami magpupublic apology?” the Kapuso young star said during the launch of “Cielo del Angelina” at the GMA-7 compound on Wednesday, October 17.
The issue between Topacio and the Binenes started when the lawyer filed a child abuse case against radio disc jockey Dan Christian Villanueva, a.k.a. DJ Papa Dan in Bea’s behalf. GMA Artist Center and Binene’s legal counsel said Topacio was not authorized to file the case.

Topacio, for his part, said he “will have to go to court to vindicate my name” if Binene’s camp does not issue a public apology for their statements.
‘Malungkot and disappointed’
Bea, on the other hand, shared she’s sad and disappointed over the issue.
“Malungkot ako. Malungkot and disappointed. Kasi maraming mga issues na binibigay sa akin na hindi totoo. Maraming sinasabi na hindi naman totoo,” she told members of the press.
The 14-year-old actress added, “Nakakadisappoint po kasi at nakakalungkot na may mga taong pinagkatiwalaan mo pero iba pala yung agenda nila. Nakakalungkot dahil marami silang sinasabing hindi totoo. Ang dami nilang ginagawang ways, ang dami nilang pinapatunahan pero hindi totoo.”
She reiterated that Topacio was merely their “legal adviser”and not officially their lawyer. Asked if her family can consider him a friend, Bea said Topacio is “a professional friend.”
The young star said her camp can confirm they’re saying the truth despite Topacio’s claim that he has evidence to prove otherwise.

“Kayang kanya kong ipakita ang lahat. Kaya naming ni Mama isa-isahin kung saan yun,” Bea said. “Kaya naming iprove na hindi. Kaya naming sagutin ang mga evidences niya.”
As for legal action against Papa Dan, she said: “Si Mama na po ang bahala. GMA, yung legal counsel sa GMA, sila na po ang bahala.”
Strong competition
Even with these issues hounding her, Bea is still able to focus on her latest television project, “Cielo del Angelina,” which also stars Jake Vargas. It is GMA Films’ first foray into creating shows for the Kapuso network as well.
“Nakakafocus ako. Yung focus ko po nasa show pa rin. Masaya ako sa trabaho ko, Masaya ako sa ginagawa ko.”
Bea is honored to be part of GMA’s first morning soap opera.
“Sobrang laking opportunity nito,” she said.
She admitted they will face strong competition but Bea added,“nangingibabaw naman po yung excited.”
“Cielo del Angelina” premieres Monday, October 22 on GMA-7.
